Palestinian Military - NABLUS, West Bank - Israeli forces stormed a major Palestinian city in the occupied West Bank in a rare daylight arrest operation on Wednesday, triggering clashes that killed at least 10 Palestinians and wounded dozens. Israeli security officials say the army has crippled the Nablus Lion's Den in recent months, killing or arresting most of its key members.

Gaza Strip. Movement restrictions have affected almost every aspect of life, including access to places of worship, workplaces, farmland, schools and hospitals. Last month, Israeli forces killed 10 people in a similar attack in the northern part of the West Bank.
The next day, a lone Palestinian gunman opened fire near a synagogue in East Jerusalem, killing seven people. The time-stamped security footage, which was widely shared online, appeared to show two unarmed youths running down the street.

You know, there's usually constant communication between the Israeli and Palestinian security forces to keep things in the West Bank under wraps - to keep the peace. But today the Palestinian Authority announced it would suspend cooperation with Israeli forces, as it has done in the past.
There is increasing criticism of Israel from abroad - the country is already launching a diplomatic offensive to get its point across - but then again, if the rocket fire does not stop, many of its friends and allies will understand the pressure they are under.
Minister Netanyahu's government is underway. ESTRIN: The Israeli forces took cover this morning. They say they are hunting militants who were planning an imminent attack on Israel. The army says its troops came under fire and opened fire, killing at least six armed Palestinians.
According to Palestinian authorities, a 61-year-old woman was also killed and dozens were wounded. I spoke with a Palestinian paramedic who was there, Khalid al-Ahmad (ph), and here's what he had to say. At the same time, he said, troops stationed on the outer perimeter came under heavy fire, triggering an intense battle.
The army said others pelted troops with rocks and explosives, and officials released video from inside an armored vehicle as Palestinian youths pelted it with stones. No Israelis were killed. At least part of the problem is that the Palestinians were on the losing side in WWII and have not accepted that fact. Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the most influential leader of the Palestinian Arabs, lived in Germany during World War II.
He met with Hitler, Ribbentrop and other Nazi leaders on several occasions and tried to coordinate Nazi and Arab policies in the Middle East. By the summer of 1949, approximately 750,000 Palestinian Arabs were living in refugee camps in areas adjacent to Israel's borders.
About 850,000 Jewish refugees from the Middle East arrived in Israel during the first fragile years of its existence. The state of Israel accepted this population exchange, but the Arab states did not. This is the reality and it is new and different from the first and second intifada.
